We work on ad hoc projects and act, if required, as Board Members and interim managers. Enexon has access to key decision makers in the global cleantech sector to develop business at the highest level both in Europe and in other continents. A highly experienced transaction team is specifically set-up to serve the client’s needs and specific requirements. Team members come from multinationals, top consulting firms and industry experts, all with excellent track record in the relevant sector.

Stefano Madeddu - The Founder’s Professional Background at a glance

Enexon was founded in 2006 by Stefano Madeddu (view LinkedIn profile)

Stefano has extensive experience in renewable Energies and a successful track record in origination, project development, contracting, and EPC construction. He has led negotiations for solar project acquisitions in Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, and France.

Stefano spent more than ten years in the solar energy industry focusing on: 

(i) advisory as head of solar sector with Hideal Partners; 
(ii) PV plant maintenance as founder and General Manager of TOPS Energy, a specialised provider of O&M services;
(iii) Asset Management as Managing Director of Renam, a leading Italian Asset Mgr in the Infrastructure and Renewable Energy space; and 
(iv) renewable energy investment as Head of European Solar Business in the European Infrastructure and Project Finance team of Babcock & Brown, a major investor in the renewable sector. 

Formerly, he spent 15 years in the IT services industry holding senior management responsibility in large multi-national corporations like Olivetti, IBM, SEAT Pagine Gialle, and specialising in the creation and management of new units dedicated to professional services.

Stefano received an Electronic Engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano and a M.B.A. from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France. He speaks fluent Italian, English and French

Jean-François de Jaegher

Jean-François joined Enexon in 2017 as a Senior Advisor

He has an extensive background in investment banking and corporate finance, having worked for more than 15 years at Deutsche Bank AG, covering different positions and roles. Until 2016, he Co-Headed the Infrastructure and Energy European Team, within the Structured Finance division, with responsibilities for coverage, origination and execution of transactions in the broad infra, energy and renewable energy sectors within Italy, France, Benelux, Turkey and Eastern Europe.

Throughout his tenure as Co-Head at Deutsche Bank, he has led several financings and re-financings, either through commercial bank debt or capital markets bond issuance, for the construction, development of renewable energy plants, of concession based PPP projects, roads, ports, airports, hospitals and social infrastructure. In Italy, he oversaw bilateral direct lending of more than €300m for PV developments.

Prior to working at Deutsche Bank, he worked at Bankers Trust International in London, in the Distressed Debt Trading team, for EMCOR Eurocurrency Management Corporation in New York, an independent boutique advising international corporates on Asset & Liability management strategies

Jean-François holds a BSc in Business Administration from Universitá Commerciale L. Bocconi, Milan, Italy and a MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He is fluent in Italian, French and English.


Paolo Capra

Paolo joined Enexon in 2017 as a Senior Advisor

He gained a wide experience in the management of all financial and administrative aspects of renewable energy plants as CFO of Energetic Source (2Bn€ turnover and 140 employees), part of the Russian RENOVA group, directly involved in the operations of a large portfolio made of a mix of solar PV, wing, gas storage.

Prior to joining Enexon, he successfully managed the financial turn-around and restructuring of a troubled Italian industrial group active in the construction and transportation sectors. Previously, he started his career with the accounting firm Studio PIROLA-PENNUTO-ZEI, managing a relevant group of customers for corporate, accounting, fiscal and strategic aspects. He then joined the banking sector in Fineco Leasing, also leading the start-up of the activities in new countries (France and the Balkan area). 

Paolo holds a BSc in Business Administration from Universitá Commerciale L. Bocconi, Milan, Italy. He is fluent in Italian, French and English.
